Ed has had a love of model trains since he was 14 years old. Through the years, through raising a family and a couple of careers, one being the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country for 21 years. This has always been a dream for him. He started a part time, in his spare time, model train repair business working out of the home, that eventually grew to a brick and mortar store. In the meantime, he and a friend started a local train club, that was given the name Lake of the Ozarks Train Club. More about them in their section of this website. With lots of encouragement from club members, family and friends, and an absolutely awesome wife, Family Train Center was opened. After 19 months in the original location, we out grew it and moved to a larger location, where the Lake of the Ozarks Train Club layout is being completed. We are a full service train store. We sell most scales of locomotives, cars, track, a large line of Woodland Scenics landscaping supplies, all kinds of accessories and some tools. You will find several accessory items that are hand made and are for sale. They are priced accordingly. We also have a model train repair man (Engineer Ron) onsite 2 days a week. You will find more about Engineer Ron under the "services" catagory. We also can ship anywhere in the continental U.S. If you would like to email Ed about something you have seen on our website, or, if you are looking for something in particular, please feel free to email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
